36 hours to make Moments that Matter for London's most unwell babies and children

18 November 2020

Our specialist nurses and carers are dedicated to creating Moments that Matter for London's most unwell babies and children. Now we need your help. The Noah's Ark community is coming together in a unique, unforgettable way to raise £1.2m - the annual cost of Noah's Ark's specialist nurses and carers - our heroes. 15 August 2020

Four months ago the staff of a north London care home didn't hold out much hope that their oldest resident would be with them for much longer - after all, Angela Hutor was 106 and suffering from Covid-19. But Angela made it through, becoming officially the oldest person in Britain to have beaten Covid, and earlier this month St Anne's in Stoke Newington laid on a special high tea party to celebrate her 107th birthday. Meals on Wheels for the 21st Century

01 August 2020

A new report from Sustain and London Food Link, funded by Trust for London, looks at how services that ensure older adults can access meals in their homes are run, both before the Covid-19 pandemic and during it, across London. In the capital, adequate provision of meals on wheels services were not in place prior to lockdown. Where these exist, many face the possibility of being cut, annually. New, innovative services were being established in a few locations even before Covid-19, demonstrating that viable, affordable and effective solutions exist that could improve lives for thousands of older and disabled adults. During the lockdown, many innovative community solutions arose, which show great promise for the future if they are supported and funded.
