A crowdfunding campaign has been started on Spacehive to raise the funds needed for Mind in Enfield to open its Friends' Cafe to the public instead of just to its clients. This project will make healthy food available to a wider range of people whilst at the same time help to break down the barriers between those with and without mental health issues, make potential clients aware of its services, and open up more volunteering opportunities.

Two theatrical groups that are part of Edmonton-based Face Front Inclusive Theatre will be treading the boards at the Dugdale Centre this month. Broken Silence Theatre Group will be performing The Myth of Marvo's Millions (11th and 12th July), while InterAction Theatre Group's production, Between the Wi and the Fi, will be staged on 25th and 26th July.

Donating just £10 will help Noah’s Ark build North London’s only children’s hospice building and support more than 1,200 babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. The Ark will complement our existing Hospice-at-Home services, providing 24-hour end-of-life, post-death and bereavement care, overnight stays and sensory, music and art rooms.

They are asking people who live and work in Enfield for their views on their next Safeguarding Adults Strategy, which will run until 2023. A Safeguarding Adults Strategy is a plan to keep adults safe from abuse and harm.

The Felix Project's Enfield depot rescues food that would otherwise be wasted and supplies it to charities who use it to support their clients. The Enfield depot is keen to recruit many more volunteers to collect and distribute food. It is also seeking to involve more supermarkets and food distributors and increase the amount of surplus food that it handles.

At last week's Deaf Forum meeting at Community House, attended by several of your fellow councillors, the local deaf community was caught unawares by the decision to cease funding - in just three weeks' time - of the Deaf Project's.......
