Enfield Youth Offending Unit (YOU)
YOU needs volunteers who:
- are concerned about youth crime
- are able to engage with young people
- would like to be part of the restorative justice process
- can work with young offenders to help challenge and change their behaviour
- can help us to help them and make Enfield a better place to live and work
- believe that young people should have to make reparation (community work to repair the harm caused by their crime) to society for the harm caused by their offences
Volunteering opportunities
We are currently recruiting new volunteers to supervise young people during their reparation activities, and Community Panel Members to make decisions about the rehabilitation programmes. You will be given full training alongside a Continued Professional Development programme.
Enfield youth centres
You can volunteer in our youth centres to gain valuable skills and experience that could help you in your future career. We will provide you with the necessary training and may pay for your travel expenses too.
For more information about volunteering with young people, email , or call Leon Marshall on 020 8379 5827 or the Enfield YOU reception line on 020 8379 5800 and ask for the volunteer lead.
