Maggie's at the Royal Free is asking people to help support its work by holding a Kitchen Table Day on Friday 27 March or a day that suits you.
Maggie’s at the Royal Free is a cancer support centre based at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people living with cancer and their loved ones across North London.
Our centre is a warm and welcoming place with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need to find their way through cancer. Our support programme includes one-to-one counselling, regular patient support groups and exercise classes such as yoga, pilates and tai chi. We also offer relaxation, mindfulness and expressive art sessions.
Maggie’s is a drop- in centre, help is offered freely to anyone with any type of cancer, their families and friends. We are open Monday to Friday 9 to 5pm.
Our centre is an oasis for people living with cancer, a place of respite contrasting with the clinical hospital surroundings.
Maggie’s is entirely funded by donations and fundraising events.
Maggie’s is encouraging everyone to support their local cancer support centre by hosting a Kitchen Table Day on Friday 27 March or a day that suits you to raise vital funds for cancer support.
Host a Kitchen Table Day
The Kitchen Table is at the heart of every Maggie’s centre. It’s somewhere for people with cancer and their families and friends to meet others who understand what they are going through, find support or sit quietly with a cup tea.
Get your family, friends and colleagues together around your kitchen table and help people with cancer.
Whether it’s an awesome afternoon tea, a spectacular supper or a brilliant book club, it’s time to get together and have fun to help us support people with cancer.
If you send us the money you've raised before the end of April, you'll get a FREE Maggie's tea towel as a small thank you from us!
