Grange Park resident Katrina Campbell's dream of making a book out of her large collection of photographs recording life under lockdown has been turned into reality. There was a large enough and quick enough response to her Kickstarter campaign for her to get the book, When We All Stayed at Home, out in time for Christmas, hand delivered to addresses in the areas where the pictures were taken - Palmers Green, Winchmore Hill, Bush Hill Park, Edmonton and Enfield.

Three community coronavirus rapid testing centres are now operating in Enfield borough, where people with no symptoms can turn up without an appointment for a lateral flow test. If you have Covid-19 symptoms, you should not attend one of these centres, but should self-isolate and phone 119 for a test appointment.

This month they have launched a series of YouTube videos of special performances celebrating musical theatre, all recorded out of lockdown at Wyllyots. They're free, but you're encouraged to contribute to fundraising in support of Wyllyots and NHS Charities Together.

Winchmore Hill photographer Katrina Campbell is planning to turn her online exhibition Tales of Life under Lockdown into a book with the title When We All Stayed at Home and has launched a Kickstarter campaign to have it printed and published in time for Christmas. The idea isn't to create a large coffee table book to be saved for special occasions, but an A5 volume that can be shared at the kitchen table or read on the bus. What an excellent way of recording and remembering an extraordinary year!

The Covid Symptom Study wants to expand the network of schools where its app is being used to help find out more about the spread of Covid-19 among children and how this affects the wider population. So far more than 450 schools have enrolled, but to increase the reliability of its data it needs more - teachers, parents and carers can all help it towards its target - 5000 schools.

Three much loved centres of important cultural, artistic and historical significance in Enfield have received more than £670,000 to safeguard their futures. Following applications from Enfield Council, Forty Hall has received £137,000 from the first round of the Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) for Heritage while the Dugdale Centre and Millfield Theatre have been given £534,995 from the CRF grants programme. There were also awards for Chickenshed, Border Crossings and dance promoter Radioactive Clothing.

Just under a quarter of care homes and nursing homes in the London Borough of Enfield experienced an outbreak of Covid-19 during the first wave. This is one of the findings of a report published by Healthwatch Enfield which looks at the impact of the Coronavirus on the borough's 89 care, nursing and assisted living homes. The report is based on a survey of staff, patients and residents' relatives carried out in August and September.

The Enfield Dispatch reports that a Palmers Green resident was only able to tested for Covid-19 at Lodge Drive car park by applying online using a Glasgow postcode. Serco employees at the test site were 'milling around' without doing any testing.

With children soon due to return to their classrooms, the issue of how pupils will travel to and from school is becoming urgent. There are serious questions about how many will be able resume using public transport. Across the country the government is telling local authorities that they want at least half of pupils with journeys of less than two miles who have previously used buses to switch to active travel - walking or cycling. In London it's still unclear under what circumstances free public transport will be available to schoolchildren. This article points readers in the direction of some recently published information relevant to school transport in the age of Covid-19.
