Three community coronavirus rapid testing centres are now operating in Enfield borough, where people with no symptoms can turn up without an appointment for a lateral flow test (LFT test).

The testing centres are at

  • Klinger Hall, Copperfield Mews N18 1PF (see map)
  • Kempe Hall, Kempe Road, EN1 4QS (see map)
  • Brigadier Hall, Cedar Road, EN2 0NL (see map)

All three testing centres will operate from 9am to 6pm.

If you have symptoms of Covid-19, you should not attend one of these centres - instead you should self isolate and arrange an appointment for a PCR test by phoning 119 or visiting www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test.

The additional testing is intended to stop the spread of coronavirus earlier by identifying people who may not know they have the virus and enabling them to self isolate – before they develop symptoms. Each will be capable of delivering nearly 900 tests per day with a total borough target of around 151,000 tests over the next six weeks. They will complement the five test centres in the borough that offer tests for people who have coronavirus symptoms.

After receiving their results residents testing positive will be referred for a follow-up PCR test to confirm the result. Those testing negative will be given advice based on their personal circumstances.

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
