The formal opening of the rebuilt Shaftesbury Hall in Bowes Park took place on Saturday 9th February. The building is owned by North London Samaritans and replaces a Victorian 'tin tabernacle' - a small chapel built predominantly of corrugated metal.

Donating just £10 will help Noah’s Ark build North London’s only children’s hospice building and support more than 1,200 babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. The Ark will complement our existing Hospice-at-Home services, providing 24-hour end-of-life, post-death and bereavement care, overnight stays and sensory, music and art rooms.

This Friendship Matters event is aimed at attracting those who may be experiencing loneliness and isolation to attend and become engaged by meeting with individuals and groups and thereby improve their quality of life.

The Felix Project's Enfield depot rescues food that would otherwise be wasted and supplies it to charities who use it to support their clients. The Enfield depot is keen to recruit many more volunteers to collect and distribute food. It is also seeking to involve more supermarkets and food distributors and increase the amount of surplus food that it handles.

The Friends of Firs Farm want their second Summer Wetlands Festival to be even better than last year's, when more than 3000 people attended. They still need more volunteers to help organise and run the day's fun, and sponsorship from businesses or individuals. And they are also seeking further sponsors for their next big project - the Firs Farm Community Hub.

As well as continuing to use its services in Edmonton, she raises money for the charity through a craft stall in the entrance to the North Middlesex Hospital. This is her story.

Construction of north London's first children's hospice has begun. Parents of young patients cared for by Noah's Ark Children's hospice laid the first bricks for the new "Ark" building in Barnet on 19th March.
Noah's Ark hospice cares for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions living in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington, Haringey and Hertsmere, where there are more than 1,200 children who could benefit from their services. However, it does not have its own.......

On 15th March North London Hospice will be launching its Health and Wellbeing Service and its day centre in Barrowell Green will become the Health and Wellbeing Centre. This isn't just a new name for its existing outpatient services - the Hospice is in the process of expanding the scale and range of services it offers to patients and carers, with a special focus on symptom management, rehabilitation, self-management, social, psychological and emotional wellbeing.
