Enfield's first community kitchen has opened in a disused church in Ponders End. Initially, it will be open one day a week, providing free food, utensils, hobs and ovens to people who cannot afford to buy food or to turn on their cookers.

The charity ReachOut is expanding its work into new areas of London and looking for volunteers from the Palmers Green community to act as after-school mentors of young people. Helping them grow in character and confidence, giving them the tools and networks they need to live good, happy and successful lives.
