That (Bigger) Blue Patch (Photo: Colin Younger)After two successive blazing hot Sundays in the park, things weren't looking too good for the third week of Broomfield Blues.  Heavy rain on Saturday and a very dull start to Sunday.  But the weather gods must have been sufficiently mollified by the sacrifices people made last week (the money collected in Ralph Hutching's bright red top hat) and eventually laid on a warm afternoon with long enough sunny spells to bring out the audience and.......

London People's Orchestra rehearses on Thursday evenings during academic term time between 8.00pm and 10.00pm at Oakwood Baptist Church, Merrivale, Southgate, London N14 4TE. All music is provided, as are interval refreshments, all you need bring is yourself, your instrument and a music stand. Our regular members support the running costs of the orchestra by paying subs, currently set at £70 per Calendar Quarter. For more infomation please complete the form on our Contact Us.......

The Enfield Choral Society is holding a one-day workshop on the Rachmaninov 'Vespers' on Saturday 10th September 2016, 10am-4pm at the Church of St Mary Magdalene, Windmill Hill, Enfield, Middlesex, EN2 7AJ.   The workshop will be led by our Musical Director Mark Sproson. We are inviting local singers who are interested to join us. The Spirals of Life final show of ceramic sculptures is now on in Broomfield Park conservatory. Most of the previous sculptures are back, with a few new ones (look out for the Venus baby-trap!). For the third year running All Saints Church in Edmonton will be hosting the Lamb Festival, celebrating local literary celebrities Charles and Mary Lamb.
