The statutory consultation phase for the next leg of the Enfield Town to Ponders End walking and cycling route runs until 8th December.

This section of the walking and cycling route, through Bush Hill Park, was completed earlier this year

Enfield Council is continuing to work on creating a walking and cycling route between Enfield Town and Ponders End, running through Bush Hill Park, Lincoln Road and other streets south of the main road between the end points. The routing and design were consulted on in late 2023 and January this year and revisions were made in response to comments.

The first phase, running through Bush Hill Park, was completed in summer 2024. A draft traffic order has been published for the next section, further east, and this is now subject to statutory consultation. The deadline for comments is 8th December.

The council is also inviting comments on a proposal to create a controlled parking zone in the vicinity of the new route.
