If you like seeing Palmers Green town centre at its best, why not lend a hand to Palmers Green Action Team on Saturday 19th September when they will be running their next Clean Up Palmers Green High Street event?

Clean up Palmers Green high street!

volunteers clearing litter at palmers green triangle

On Saturday 19th September between 11am and 1pm Palmers Green Action Team is organising an event to tidy up the high street. We will be litter picking, sticker scraping and planting. If you would like to help, please sign up here (no charge!).

We will get in touch with you to agree a time with you to turn up so we can give you equipment in a socially distanced way.

If you have your own equipment that you would rather bring that's fine too of course. Gloves, trowel, dustpan and brush, bucket, sponge, scrapers would all be useful.

We will be running two gazebos outside Stitch! (397 Green Lanes, on the corner of Devonshire Road) so everyone can keep appropriately distanced from each other. We ask you to only share equipment in your bubble.

We will be litter picking, especially in the flower beds, scraping stickers off shop fronts and planting in the flower beds. We will also be planting bulbs in the pots outside the shops so we have some flowers to look forward to next Spring.

The charity CleanUp UK will be there on the day too. People power will make a difference!

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
