A five-week festival of light is coming to Enfield's town centres this week. The launch event is on Thursday in Upper Edmonton, when part of Fore Street will be illuminated from 7pm to 11pm. Starting on Friday, Palmers Green will be treated to an interactive exhibition which transforms a shipping container into a ‘Wonder Ground’, bathed in neon light and pink hues. From next Saturday, Dan Maier will be creating illuminations outside the Southgqte Club in Chase Side (she'll also be running lampshade making workshops, one for adults, the other for kids). And at Gordon Hill Station the sights and sounds of the steam train era will be recreated on the evenings of 9th and 12th February.
