A fully marshalled community bike ride on 30th April will be a chance to explore cycle lanes in eastern Enfield and the new wetlands in Albany Park - and an opportunity to try out an e-bike for free! And if you live in PG you can join a feeder ride outside the Fox to get you to the start of the main ride in Edmonton.
The 8-mile ride starts at the cycle hub next to Edmonton Green Station at 2pm and will explore the bike lanes along the A1010 (Fore St, Hertford Road and Ponders End High Street), plus some quiet back streets and parks. It's being organised jointly by Better Streets for Enfield and Enfield Cycling Campaign, whose experienced ride marshals will ensure that everyone, including new riders and children, can have a safe and enjoyable afternoon.
The ride is being organised with support from Enfield Council's Journey's & Places team.

Want to try out an e-bike?
Electric bikes or e-bikes are similar to "push-bikes" but have a built-in electric motor to help the rider. You still have to pedal, but in particular climbing hills or making long journeys is much easier.
For the ride on 30th April, the bike hire company Lime will be bringing along some of their e-bikes, which will available for free. You need to reserve an e-bike in advance (see below) and you need to be starting from Edmonton Green Station, not from Palmers Green or Enfield Town.
