Southgate Green councillor Daniel Anderson's appeal against a finding that he bullied council officers has been dismissed by Enfield Council's Conduct Committee, which met on 23rd September. The committee decided that the sanctions recommended in February by the council's monitoring officer should stand - they were that he should apologise, promise not to repeat the behaviour and be excluded from council offices for two months.
Cllr Anderson subsequently issued a statement denying the allegations and stating that the committee failed to take account of eleven arguments that he had set out which he says show that the original investigation of the complaints of bullying was not carried out properly.
Cllr Anderson, a former deputy council leader, is one of four councillors who have left the Labour Party this year and together form the Community First group of independent council members.
