While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.
Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

The publisher of a successful website celebrating various styles of Modernist architecture in the London suburbs has launched a crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising sufficient funds to publish the information on his website in book form. Among the buildings that the book will cover are the remarkable Piccadilly Line stations in our area, such as Southgate and Arnos Grove.
Palmers Green resident Adele Barr is just one of many people who have benefited from the services provided by the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. As well as continuing to use its services in Edmonton, she raises money for the charity through a craft stall in the entrance to the North Middlesex Hospital. This is her story.
There are three councillors for each ward in Enfield. You can therefore vote for three candidates, who don't have to all belong to the same party. Provided they're on the electoral register, non-UK citizens can vote. There's no need to take your voting card or any ID with you.

You don't need to be an expert pollster to forecast that the next administration running Enfield Council will be formed either by Labour or by the Conservatives. But they won't necessarily win all the council seats between them. Both of the two next biggest local parties - Enfield Green Party and Enfield Liberal Democrats - say they are determined to make a dent in the Labour/Conservative domination by winning some seats in this week's elections. Both parties are entering.......
Enfield Conservatives were no doubt hoping that a press release that they sent to the Enfield Independent would help them in their bid to recapture control of Enfield Council in Thursday's elections. But I doubt whether they were expecting the amount of publicity that the paper's report and accompanying photograph would bring them - two further reports on the local paper's website, one in the Evening Standard and headlines on the national news website Huffington Post. Not to.......
