While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Palmers Green ward forum will be meeting on 20th February, which will provide an opportunity to discuss the draft Enfield Local Plan with ward councillors.
On 3rd February a revised repeat of a talk about the opening of the Piccadilly Line extension from Arnos Grove to Cockfosters will round off the celebrations of its 90th anniversary.
Civil society groups in Enfield have repeated their calls to borough residents to ask their councillors to set up special ward forums to discuss the draft Enfield Local Plan before it is debated in full council. They are concerned in particular about plans to build on green belt land and for tall buildings in town centres, including Palmers Green. In addition, they want residents to call for the evidence that the draft plan is based on to be made available to the public.
An interim report published by the London Climate Resilience Review confirms that London and the UK are 'underprepared' for major climate impacts, including severe flooding, extreme heat and wildfires, with a 'lethal risk' to the most vulnerable communities. The review makes urgent and strategic recommendations for UK Government and London.
A new survey has revealed the shocking level of abuse and aggression shown towards women cyclists in London by other road users. The group that commissioned it, London Cycling Campaign, say this is a prime reason why, compared to men, so few women use this inexpensive and environmentally friendly method of transport.

The RSA Trust Inspiring Women Start Up Programme is aimed at empowering women in Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest, to develop their business idea and start a business. All support is FREE as it is supported by local Enfield charity The RSA Trust.
Action for Enfield's Future - a non-political consortium of Enfield-based residents and civil sector groups - are asking the borough's residents to write to their ward councillors requesting a special ward forum to discuss the draft Enfield Local Plan. In Winchmore Hill ward a meeting is already scheduled for Friday 19th January.
