stitch exterior croppedStitch! is now back to opening six days a week and activities in the shop are recommencing, alongside online sessions using Zoom.

Opening hours are now:

  • Tuesday-Friday 10-2pm
  • Saturday 10-3pm

On every other Wednesday evening there's a drop-in Stitching Circle at the shop led by Sharon Wallin. It's a big shop with room for proper social distancing and the £5 fee includes a glass or wine or a soft drink. Even though it's a drop-in it would help plan if you could book in advance.

On Thursday mornings you can Knit and Natter online from 11am to 12 noon.

If you're keen to learn how to crochet, beginners classes are back, alongside crochet refresher clinics. Later in the year you can learn some more advanced crochet techniques - corner-to-corner, Tunisian crochet and making crochet baskets.

And during the summer holidays Stitch! are running a series of craft and sewing activities for kids, all online using Zoom - see below.

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
