Through the hatch of her café on Platform 1 of Palmers Green Station, Annita Correia sees and hears the early morning world passing by.Platform 1 is a gem of a short film made by Jessica Bishop and shown as part of Talkies Community Cinema Here film festival earlier this year.
For the 2016 Here Film Festival Talkies, in conjunction with Short Sighted Cinema, will again be commissioning four short films:
"Four filmmakers will be awarded £500 each to produce a short film based in, or featuring, south Enfield. Creativity and storytelling is at the heart of the festival and the commission is open to all styles and forms of filmmaking including comedy, drama, animation and original documentary. The films should explore elements of suburban life, embracing locality while expressing individual artistry."
