PG-based artist Cathy Taylor invites you to a free event this Sunday afternoon where you can try your hand at traditional Chinese brush painting, in the beautiful surroundings of Broomfield Conservatory. Suitable for ages 14 to 114.
If you go along to art galleries hoping to experience the sublime, then the exhibition that's on at the Southgate Club in Chase Side is probably not for you. But if it's the ridiculous that 'grabs you by your shakers and lifts you like a wing', then you're in for a treat.
On the afternoon of Friday 21st March the Southgate Beaumont care home on Cannon Hill will be hosting an exhibition of paintings by Regina Skrida, inspired by the beautiful landscapes of her native Lithuania.
Artists have until 21st March to submit entries to the third Enfield Community Art Exhibition, which will be held in Palmers Green in June, in the revamped Devonshire Square and at Arbeit Studios off Green Lanes.
Yoriko Cole is a Southgate based artist originally from Kyoto, Japan. Her pictures are at the Southgate Gallery until 22nd February.
The Dugdale Arts Centre is looking for members of the local community with a stake in arts and culture to sit on its community panel.

Guests watch as the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Doris Jiagge, opens the 2022 Enfield Art Circle annual exhibition
On Friday 30th July the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Doris Jiagge, performed the opening ceremony for the 2022 annual exhibition organised by Enfield Art Circle.
The Mayor of Enfield with the Art Circle's oldest member, 92-year-old Laurence Welby. Laurence joined the Circle in the 1960s.
After two years during which the annual exhibition was online only, the Art Circle was able to return to Capel Manor Gardens to celebrate its 90th anniversary - the first exhibition was held at Pearson's department store in 1932.
The exhibition will continue until 13th August. More than 170 original works from local artists are on display, many of them for sale. The show includes work in a range of different mediums, including oil, watercolour, acrylic, gouache and mixed media, as well as sculpture and ceramics.
This year's exhibition also joins the entries from 2020 and 2021 online - though even the best computer screen won't compare with seeing the originals!
