Our August short is the BAFTA-nominated Standby by Charlotte Regan. Charlotte was one of five filmmakers chosen by Talkies in 2017 to create a short as part of the Here Suburban Film Festival, where she made the film Cleared, so we have a special place for her in our hearts!
In Standby, police officers Gary and Jenny patrol the streets from the front seats of their car. Through laughter, tears and tea, their partnership becomes a friendship, and we are right there with them for every ride.
