One hundred days to the 2014 Palmers Green Festival and plans are well underway. This year’s Festival will have more music, more children’s activities, more stalls, more lovely international food and drinks and be even more fun!
The Festival is organised entirely by volunteers for the benefit of the local community – now we need to recruit more volunteers who can help out on the day.
Festival Volunteer Coordinator Veronica Trew, explains: “On the day of the Festival we need lots of people from early in the morning, helping with the set-up, right through to clearing up late in the evening. There are lots of ways people can help, even if it just for a couple of hours. And lots of planning goes on through the year, so we are keen to hear from anyone now who feels they can offer something.”
Jobs on Festival day include:
- Helping the team with the set up: directing vehicles and attractions in and out of the park, erecting stalls and gazebos;
- Helping run the Festival stalls – including Pimms & the Climbing Wall;
- Meeting and greeting Festival goers, handing out Festival leaflets and providing information;
You’ll be working as part of a big friendly team. Fun and refreshments are guaranteed! The Festival was attended by over 6,000 people from the local community last year – helping out means while you rediscover old friends you will also make many new friends.
If you’re not free on the day but you live in the N13, N14 and N21 areas, you can help just by agreeing to have an estate agent advertising board in your garden during the run up – that would help spread the word about the Festival and raise funds towards our running costs.
So if you think you might like to help out please get in touch now and find out more. Email Veronica Trew direct on .
