Enfield Council have introduced a scheme whereby residents with severely restricted mobility can pay to have a disabled bay close to where they live reserved for their use alone.  A one-off payment is required.

This information was promulgated in a news item published today on the Council website .  The news item refers readers to the same website - however, there is nothing about the new scheme on the Blue Badge page.

The above contribution amazes me because to my certain knowledge Haringey Council have been providing this service for at least 25 years . Hard to imagine that Enfield and all other councils have not been doing the same thing.
Fairly recently the beneficiary of the scheme that I knew died so these days I regularly park on the space; as do various local people.
