After a closure lasting eight months, the doors of Broomfield Conservatory will at last be thrown wide open on Sunday to let the public into Palmers Green's own mini-Kew Gardens. When the doors to Broomfield Conservatory are thrown open on 26th May, visitors will find the interior freshly painted...
The results of a survey of visitors to Broomfield Park confirm that it has a special place in the hearts of PG residents. A word cloud derived from survey responses shows that people value the green space, the lakes and the wildlife in the park - but there are also high scores for terms including...

Become a Friend of Cooking Champions today!
While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.
Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.
For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.
Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
Regular visitors to Broomfield Park will have noticed that the historic long border in the walled part of the park has in recent months been receiving some overdue TLC, thanks to collaboration beween the Friends of Broomfield Park, Enfield Council and Capel Manor College. Among those working on the flower beds was Vic Black, who's a qualified gardener (Level 3 certificate in Technical Horticulture, Distinction*, frfom Capel Manor).
Vic is keen to find some employment in the Palmers Green/Bounds Green area. She can advise you on planting and design, or just give your green space a good tidy up.
