When will there be step-free access to Palmers Green station?

Planters and paintings will be nice , but what PG station really needs is disabled access. It surely wouldn't be too difficult to arrange some on the car park side, though the southbound platform is trickier. But even one side accessible would be an improvement.

There are plans for lifts to both platforms, but when work will begin is unknown.

An update from Palmers Green Action Team :

Palmers Green station is on the Access for All list which is owned by DfT and means step free access to each platform by 2024. The work is coordinated by Network Rail. They have completed their preliminary feasibility for the station but we don’t know what the delivery date for the lifts actually is, only the backstop of 2024.

This is separate to the Passenger Benefit Fund, which is from the train operator Govia, so no funds for are being diverted for planters etc that could otherwise be used to improve access.

A win-win (albeit with a little more waiting involved)
