After a break in 2020 because of Covid restrictions, the annual Remembrance Service resumed on 11 November 2021 in the Broomfield Park Remembrance Garden.

Organised by the Friends of Broomfield Park, the ceremony was conducted by the Reverend Crichton Limbert, Vicar of Christ Church Southgate.

Wreaths were laid by the Mayor of Enfield, a representative of Bambos Charalambous MP (unable to attend because of Parliamentary business), the Friends of Broomfield Park, the Royal British Legion, and pupils from Broomfield, Bowes, Hazelwood and Walker schools.

Poems, including some composed by the readers themselves, were presented by pupils from Bowes, Broomfield, and Walker schools. The service ended with a medley of wartime songs from Hazelwood School pupils.

After the service, attendees went to the Greenery Café where they were served refreshments by pupils from West Lea School.

This was one of the best attended services by the public for some time, who were able to appreciate the efforts of the park gardeners and volunteer groups in creating an attractive setting.
