Local singing and voice coach Simon Gilbert is back at the Ruth Winston Centre helping people learn to project their voice and personality, build self-confidence and discover the Real You.
Simon's You Have a Voice classes are held on alternate Friday mornings (11.45am to 1pm), with the next session due on 17th March. He'll build your confidence by teaching you better breathing and giving you many fun things to try. Loads of laughs guaranteed on your way to finding the Bigger You.
The ability to speak clearly and confidently is a great asset that can help you not just at work and in job interviews, but also in all sorts of social situations.
Simon's illustrious career as a singer saw him performing opposite Luciano Pavarotti, Joan Sutherland and Ginger Rogers. And if you thought it was Peter O'Toole singing "The Impossible Dream" in Man of la Mancha, you've been taken in - it was Simon!
You don't need to be over 50 or a member of Ruth Winston Community Centre to join Simon's class (but why not think about becoming a member - there's no age limit?). The Centre is at 190 Green Lanes, on the left between the Triangle and the junction with Oakthorpe Road.Note
This article was corrected on 8th March. The statement in the original version that the classes were free was incorrect. There is a charge of £4 per session, to cover the cost of hiring the room. For more information about possible future changes to dates and cost contact Simon as above.
