Forum topic: Air Pollution

Often the weekly PGC newsletter contains links to articles concerning air pollution. This week is no different with a report on the dangers of particulates from wood burning stoves, while recently one placed the inner ULEZ savings scaled to be equivalent to an airport’s emissions. Today’s national press, quoting the journal Neurology, adds to the considerable body of evidence linking air pollution to dementia and other forms of cognitive decline. It is already linked to a wide range of adverse heath matters.
 In so much that we choose to do in day-to-day living, this is an area increasingly demanding that we first stop and think, perhaps before it results in us being stopped from thinking at all.
