Winchmore Hill Police have used Twitter to report a distraction technique used to rob shoppers at Sainsbury's in Winchmore Hill.
WHW, on Tuesday at 1215pm an elderly lady was loading up her car in the Sainsbury's car park when she was distracted by a male approx. 50yrs old of southern Mediterranean appearance. He asked for directions to the London Orthopaedic hospital passing her a piece of paper to write down the directions. When she got home she noticed her purse was gone from her handbag. Suspect may have been working with another. I have given @sainsburys notices to put up but they have decided not to. Perhaps a little pressure from residents might convince them? Thanks. AR
