The Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision in Palmers Green on 1st September.

Despite being treated by ambulance personnel and taken to hospital by an ambulance helicopter which landed in Hazelwood Recreation Ground, the victim later died in hospital.

At the time when the police issued the appeal, the man's identify was unknown. Among the items making up a floral tribute near the bus stop close to where the collision occurred is an Albanian flag.

Witnesses sought following fatal collision in Palmers Green

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision in Palmers Green.Police were called at approximately 17:20hrs on Sunday, 1 September to reports of a collision between a van and a pedestrian in Green Lanes, N13.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment. Sadly, the man – aged in his 50s – later died in hospital.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify and inform his next of kin.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or any road users with dash cam footage that could assist the investigation, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton on 020 8246 9820.
