Good – interesting ethnic mix and variety of shops and supermarkets. Comparatively crime free. Decent housing stock. Good parks, open spaces and sports facilities. Library, charity shops. High street lighting. Refuse collection (recycling)

Less good – inadequate street parking. Street litter. The building in Broomfield park.
Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?
Improve – notices warning of penalty for dog fouling on streets. The palmers green link with the police needs to revert to its original pattern of weekly reporting.

Traffic – pedestrian crossing lights at junction of green lane and Bourne hill needed. Introduce 20mph limit in all roads.

Parking – introduce residential parking permits on streets off green lanes

Clutter – litter; urinal railings on triangle; speed limit signs that don’t work (near Hazelwood school)

Look of shops – hideous churches (eg St johns); empty premises (eg formerly grouts)

Type of shops – too many hair dressers, betting shops, coffee bars and eating places and dearth of decent restaurants. Only one shoe shop

Triangle – either re-open or fill in public urinals and remove railings. What happened to the tree?

Other – Xmas decorations in high street used to be among the best. Now among the worst. Why?
