Palmers Green Town Centre Improvement Project 2012: Survey responses

1. Too much litter on the streets
2. Too much dog mess on the pavements. This is a health hazard.
3. Stop people spilling out of the fox drunk on a  Friday night
4. We should actively reduce the number of betting shops. Way too many
5. Broomfield park should be used for concerts
6. Introduce a local “wedge” card like scheme which reward people for spending their money locally.
7. Need to encourage local shops and penalise landlords / encourage landlords to let retail space
8. Far too much litter on the streets particularly after refuse collection. Street cleaners used to come round after the refuse trucks – what has happened to them?
9. Do something about the unsightly disused properties along the north circular – people could be living in them if they had been maintained
10. Jet wash the high street on a regular basis, plant a few trees. Produce a loyalty card to encourage people to shop more in the area. Enforce law on people letting their dogs mess the pavement.
11. Develop homezones. Would like to be contacted (can’t decipher)
12. Have pubs responsible for cleaning up post drinking time mess on the streets (vomit!!)
13. Let’s get some organic and trendy shops please
14. Improve the farmers market and encourage more stall traders
15. Free parking – please

Why are the shopping pavement not cleaned – should be cleaned at least once a month using cleaning machines – at present it’s not very attractive for shoppers to visit the shops
