Despite Enfield Council's request to the organisers of the London Oktoberfest to withdraw their application to hold a German-themed beer festival in Broomfield Park, Friends of Broomfield Park and other residents concerned about the planned event are calling on residents to continue to submit their own objections to the licensing committee. Among those who have done so recently is Enfield Southgate MP Bambos Charalambous, who has published his letter to the committee.
Haringey Council has announced that the low-traffic neighbourhood in Bounds Green will start trial operation on Monday 15th August.
