Do you need help with something on the computer? Or does someone you know? Well, that help is at hand. Palmers Green Library now has a new Computer Buddy, who's available to help between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The council's Journey's & Places team are inviting people to join walkabouts of Chase Side in Southgate on Saturday 7th October, with a view to exploring ways of improving the public realm. Enfield Council's Journeys & Places team have launched the initial engagement phase for a proposed 'Bowes East' Quieter Neighbourhood in the southern part of Palmers Green, south of the A406 and east of Green Lanes. A much larger quieter neighbourhood is also proposed for Edmonton.

Enfield Council has submitted a bid for heritage lottery funding for the development stage of its plans for Broomfield House and Park, which would see the remains of the derelict mansion dismantled and 'memorialised' and landscaping of parts of the park to reflect its history. Community involvement is envisaged throughout the project, which would take until 2028 to complete.

The internationally renowned theatre company Complicité are coming to Palmers Green to run a series of theatrical storytelling workshops for women aged 65 or over, and are encouraging people with no previous experience in the performing arts to join. They're running a taster session at the Ruth Winston Centre on Tuesday 26th September ahead of the three workshops in October, also on Tuesday afternoons at Ruth Winston.

At the Ruth Winston Centre the re-fitted computer centre has been ceremonially opened by the Mayor of Enfield and is now up and running. New computer and smartphone courses start soon and are open to non-members.

The body which commissions NHS services in five north London boroughs is seeking to recruit up to eight Community Participant volunteers.
