Enfield Council has submitted a bid for heritage lottery funding for the development stage of its plans for Broomfield House and Park, which would see the remains of the derelict mansion dismantled and 'memorialised' and landscaping of parts of the park to reflect its history. The internationally renowned theatre company Complicité are coming to Palmers Green to run a series of theatrical storytelling workshops for women aged 65 or over, and are encouraging people with no previous experience in the performing arts to join. They're running a taster session at the Ruth Winston Centre on Tuesday 26th September ahead of the three workshops in October, also on Tuesday afternoons at Ruth Winston.
At the Ruth Winston Centre the re-fitted computer centre has been ceremonially opened by the Mayor of Enfield and is now up and running. New computer and smartphone courses start soon and are open to non-members.
