Palmers Green's charity Christmas card shop is back again from this Saturday, for the 25th year in succession, and this year among the causes that it will be supporting are two of North London's best loved charities - the North London Hospice and Noah's Ark Children's Hospice.

The October newsletter issued by Fox Lane & District Residents' Association (FLDRA) includes an update on provision of primary school places, with especial reference to the question of how long Bowes Southgate Green School (BSG) will continue to take new reception pupils.

Following the official launch last week of the borough's new Heritage Strategy, Enfield Council is encouraging community groups to propose ideas for local heritage projects that could attract funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF). Recent changes to NLHF priorities mean that projects in Enfield should stand a higher chance of success when bidding for funds.

Sport England will be offering Enfield Council £100,000 from its Community Asset Fund to go towards the extensive improvements needed for the netball courts in Broomfield Park.

Features include underfloor heating systems, an air source heat pump, rainwater harvesting, a green roof and much more.

Enfield Council have secured additional funding to install more cycle parking in #Enfield, including bike hangars on residential streets. They want to know where you would like to see extra cycle parking.

There seems to have been a recent increase in crimes committed where the victims are sitting in stationary cars or have just parked up.

Enfield Youth Offending Unit is recruiting volunteers to supervise young people during their reparation activities and Community Panel Members to make decisions about the rehabilitation programmes.
