While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.
Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.
For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.
Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions

David Flint attended the Chase Farm Hospital update at the Dugdale Centre on Tuesday and has kindly shared with us his summary of what was said. We also have the PowerPoint slides used at the presentation.
The new hospital is within budget, it will open in August - as promised four years ago - and they've raised more money than expected from the sale of spare land. What about services and quality?

The Lateral Property Group have submitted an amended version of their planning application to develop the Fox pub and its car park. Following public consultation and discussions with Enfield planning officers, the new application is for an increased number of flats (54 rather than 44), of which 30 per cent would be classified as "affordable" (compared with a target set by the Mayor of London at 50 per cent).

HERE - THE SUBURBAN FILM FESTIVAL is about the diversity of interests, people and places in the suburbs of London. HERE is not in the West End, Southbank or Shoreditch. HERE in the suburbs we aren’t the swanky super-rich, the celebrity glitterati or bearded hipsters. HERE is where the cinema creatives of London produce their best output. HERE is where life is a rich diversity of race, religion and culture. HERE is where most.......
The search is on for Enfield residents who have previously worked at Forty Hall Farm, or anyone who has memories of the Farm and its history.
