As autumn approaches there is always a new term "back to school" feeling in the air so its a perfect time to sign up for a course of evening meetings and discussions on the history of Enfield

Led by Joe Studman, a professional local history guide and speaker, the twelve week introductory course will chart the history of Enfield, Edmonton and Southgate.

The course will be held at Jubilee Hall, 2 Parsonage Lane, Enfield, EN2 0AJ from Tuesday September 29th 7:15 - 8:45pm.

Each week will consist of two illustrated presentations, each of 30/40 minutes

N.B The next course will be made up of nine sessions at Jubilee Hall and three visits/walk

The first presentation will be a chronological history from earliest times to the 20th Century. The format for this section will investigate national events that impinged locally, people, places and interesting anecdotes.

The second lecture will explore an area or significant location
to discuss its history, buildings and character.

A second version of the course on Wednesday daytimes will begin on October 7th.
