Becky Tanner, secretary of Edmonton Running Club and a PG resident, shares the good news that the club is one of three shortlisted for an England Athletics Regional Volunteer Award.

edmonton rc needs your vote"Everyone at Edmonton RC is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted by England Athletics for the regional 'Running Club of the Year' awards (London category). The club has been recognised for its positive energy and strong development across a number of areas. We are up against Tooting Running Club and Ruislip RC.

"We need your help! Voting is now live on the England Athletics website, and remains open until 11th August . The winner will be the club with the most votes! So please mobilise and spread the word to friends and family and help maximise our votes! The link to vote is below..."

Edmonton Running Club meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Hazelwood Sports Club, located off Ridge Avenue in Winchmore Hill, and on Sunday mornings near the cafe in Whitewebbs Park.

The entry is listed on the England Athletics website with the the following wording:

A small club big on positive energy! They now have five trained run leaders, plus aim to grow membership to 150 and have a qualified coach by the end of 2024. They have invested in first aid training and fostered collaborative relations with other local clubs. The club has made rapid progress to comply with the seven Club Standards.
