Enfield’s Health and Wellbeing Board is holding two special events to gauge public opinion on the Enfield Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2014-2019.
The consultation is open until the 22nd December 2013, and the Board want to know what you think about the community’s health and wellbeing needs and where you think they should be focusing their attention in the years ahead. The responses received will help to inform the priorities in the strategy to ensure we continue to improve the health and wellbeing of local people.
The two public events will both be held on Friday 6th December at:
- Green Towers, Edmonton Green, Edmonton, N9 – 10.30am – 12noon.
- The Dugdale Centre, London Road, Enfield Town, Enfield, EN2 - 2.00pm-3.30pm
You can book a place by contacting 0208 379 5404 or 020 8379 2557 or by emailing .
Speakers at these events will include Cllr Don McGowan, Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Care and Health and Dr Shahed Ahmad, Director of Public Health.
The consultation questionnaire can also be completed online at www.enfield.gov.uk/jhwsconsultation or you can pick up a copy at locations across the borough including your local library or GP surgery.
To assist in the development of health and wellbeing strategies, the Council maintains a database referred to as the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA). The JSNA is the collection and collation of information and intelligence about the health and wellbeing needs of the local community. This includes information about what are referred to as the 'wider determinants' of health, like housing, income, employment, social and recreational needs and provision. The complete JSNA is available to view online, forming part of the Enfield Health and Wellbeing website.
