Oh so the flexible function room/area for Talkies etc is still there then, as proposed. Phew, thought we'd lost that. When discussed previously it was clear it offered sufficient capacity for the majority of (infrequent) uses.
As for burying the Fox, not quite, though would be better with the extra level requested by the Council.
Still a lot better than the dingy car park that's been there the 10 years I've lived in the area. Looking forward to the pub and gym opening.

I've only just noticed the new logos on the hoarding around the Fox for the Dominvs Group (yes it is a "v" not a "u").
The website says:
Dominvs Group acquires Palmers Green Residential Development
September 11, 2018

Published by Georgia Allen | Marketing Assistant
Dominvs Group has acquired the freehold interest in The Fox Public House, Palmers Green, London, to add to its UK residential development portfolio.
Planning permission was granted in June 2018 for a five-storey residential-led development of 54 one & two-bedroom apartments, along with 38 parking spaces and associated amenity area. The planning permission includes the retention and refurbishment of the existing public house and one commercial unit on the ground floor, which has been pre-let to PureGym.
The site is located within a predominantly residential area in Palmers Green, just a 5-minute walk to the train station which provides a 20-minute direct link into Central London. The apartments will also benefit from being a stone’s throw away from the high street, with both independent stores and restaurants, alongside the likes of Sainsbury’s Local, Morrisons, Costa Coffee and Little Waitrose.
Husnell Ahluwalia, Director of Dominvs Group, comments: “Palmers Green has become increasingly sought after by both individuals and families due to its leafy North-London feel, large parks and extensive local amenities.
“There is currently a lack of new build stock available in the local area. This development will be one of the first new build apartment schemes in the local area.”
Construction of the scheme is due to start in January 2019, with units available to occupy from July 2020.
Dominvs Group was unrepresented in the transaction. The vendor was advised by Knight Frank.

The page shows a hopeful image of the development when complete, rather like a holiday brochure for a hotel on the Med...

Presume the V in Dominvs is a Latin U, like in Bvlgari pronounced Bulgari.
They've been doing site prep for a while, good to see spades in the ground so soon, going to be a fantastic improvement to that end of PG high street. Staggering how much better than the current dreary offer.
Picture looks super too, resi doesn't dominate the pub at all (which looks glorious restored) and benefits from the expensive choice of retaining a red brick envelope.
Roll on the future of Palmers Green..... #forthemany
