Very little information has been released about the stabbing in Broomfield Park on Monday afternoon.
The BBC and press both report that the police say that the attack on a 16-year-old boy happened shortly before 4pm. The police believe that he was attacked by two males who then fled the park. No arrests have been reported and the victim has not been named.

On 17th May Enfield police tweeted as follows:
A message from the mother of the victim of a recent stabbing in Broomfield Park:
"A heartfelt ‘Thank you' to any one who was helping at the scene when our son was attacked in Broomfield Park on Monday 7th of May.
"Thank you to the Police, Paramedics and Air Ambulance services for your confidence and professionalism as you worked to save our son's life. There are not enough words to fully explain our gratitude to all..
"Special thanks to the blonde lady who supported our son and kept him alive. Thanks to the young girl who comforted him while the services worked on him. It was traumatic and you were so brave. Much love to our community. If you wish to speak to us, please contact Edmonton Police."
