Come visit the museum and learn about the reality of what is happening in housing and homelessness, gaining a glimpse into our world. Our museum includes not only unique objects, but also a community garden, merch, thought-provoking murals, and refreshments with every booking. We are a living and evolving site, so come and experience a museum like no other.
Museum of Homelessness (MOH) will be opening its doors to the public on Thursday 17th April 2025, for our Open Season. This is a chance to hear untold stories from the national collection for homelessness and support our life-changing community work.
Our museum has been created from scratch by people with experience of homelessness. Visit us during the open Spring Summer season to learn about the reality of what is happening in housing and homelessness and gain a glimpse into our world.
Our site includes not only the national collection for homelessness, but also a community garden, merch, art and refreshments with every booking. We are a living and evolving site, so come and experience a museum like no other.
We share our collection and museum through an intimate tour of up to 20 people and our previous work has won many awards including Temporary Exhibition of the Year (2022, Museum and Heritage Awards) . It’s no wonder people are calling it “the best museum experience in years!”
Visits are free, but we welcome your donations to support our vital community work, including an emergency cold-weather shelter in the winter, our weekly community meals, and essential supplies year-round including sleeping bags and thousands of socks!

Access
The museum is accessible for powerchair and wheelchair users and an accessible toilet is also available.
If you are ever feeling overwhelmed, please let a Duty Manager know - we have a quiet room where people can take time out.
Captioning is present, and audio interpretation and BSL enhancement are available upon request.
Some segments contain flashing lights and loud music/sounds, and may not be suitable for those with phonic or photosensitivity.
All rooms in the museum have HEPA grade air filters which operate at any time the site is in use, to reduce the risk of airborne infections.
We are always working towards better access and balancing a wide range of needs on our small site. Please let us know if we can do anything to make your visit more comfortable.
