Choosing a career path can be overwhelming — not just for young people, but for parents and carers too. With so many options like A-levels, T-levels, apprenticeships, vocational training, and university, it can be hard to know what’s right, what’s available, and how to best support your child.
That’s why Local London Careers Hub East is hosting a FREE event for parents, carers, and young people aged 14 to 18 in Enfield.
This is your chance to gain clarity and confidence as you explore the different pathways open to your child. You’ll get practical guidance, up-to-date information, and expert advice on how to support your child’s next steps and future career choices.
The event runs from 3.30pm to 6.00pm, and you’re welcome to drop in at any time — there’s no need to stay for the whole session. There will be an employer and training marketplace where you and your child can speak directly with people from a wide range of industries, training providers, and organisations.
There will also be four different workshops, each running three times during the event. These are scheduled to run as closely as possible to:
- 4.00–4.30pm
- 4.40–5.10pm
- 5.20–5.50pm
This gives attendees the chance to take part in up to three different workshops if they wish, but there’s no pressure to attend any. Just come along, explore what’s on offer, and make the most of the support available.
