Incognito Theatre presents Flare Path by Terrence Rattigan

Sunday 27 April until Saturday 3 May

Incognito Theatre, Holly Park Road, Friern Barnet, N11 3HB

Written by Terence Rattigan and directed by Nick Vause

First performed in 1942, "Flare Path" is a deeply moving portrait of people at war and was inspired by the playwright’s own experiences in the RAF. The action of the play takes place over the course of a single night at the height of the Second World War. In a country house hotel, on the edge of an RAF Bomber Command airfield, three women wait anxiously for news of their husbands’ return from a dangerous bombing mission behind enemy lines. While the play focuses on the relationships between the three couples, at the centre of the drama is a love triangle between RAF bomber pilot Teddy, his actress wife Patricia and her ex-lover, Hollywood film star Peter Kyle. Torn between her feelings for the two very different men, Patricia finds herself at the centre of an emotional conflict as unpredictable as the war in the skies.

This amateur production of "Flare Path" is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk.
