Fussy Patchwork Decorations Workshop

Saturday 7 December 10.30am - 12.30pm

Southgate Library, High St N14 6BP

Get Crafty with Christmas Patchwork! ✨🎄

Is your tree missing that extra sparkle? Or maybe your holiday decor needs a fresh, handmade touch? Join us for our Fussy Patchwork Christmas Decorations Class! 🎅🧵

This class is perfect for all levels, even if you’re a first-time stitcher! We’ll guide you through creating charming, one-of-a-kind patchwork ornaments and decorations that add a cozy, personalised feel to your home. ❤️🎁

Fussy patchwork is a fun and meticulous technique that involves carefully selecting specific parts of patterned fabric (like motifs, shapes, or colours) to highlight in your design. Unlike traditional patchwork, where pieces are cut without a focus on exact positioning, fussy patchwork lets you “zoom in” on parts of a pattern that catch your eye, like a tiny flower, animal, or specific color.

In fussy patchwork, each patch is cut to showcase a selected element and can be arranged to create visually cohesive or whimsical designs. This makes it ideal for projects where details matter, such as Christmas decorations, where you might want a little reindeer, snowflake, or festive bauble to appear in every patch.

Fussy patchwork can be done by hand or with a sewing machine, making it a perfect technique for everyone, from beginners to seasoned quilters looking for a fresh approach.

🎄 All materials provided — just bring your creativity and holiday cheer!

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
