Workshop for makers: Selling your work
Wednesday 23 October 1.30pm - 5.00pm
Forty Hall, Forty Hill, EN2 9HA
Selling your work at craft fairs, open studios, trade shows and other events
Shows and events are an exciting opportunity to introduce yourself and your designs to the world… They can be hard work and expensive so you want to make the most of them by being fully prepared.
Join this informative workshop led by Dan Maier of Extraordinary Design, who brings over 20 years of experience in the design and craft sector. What began in a neighbour’s bedroom flourished into a successful business, with Dan supplying some of the UK’s most renowned retailers and stores worldwide, along with an enviable client list. She has coached over 500 designer-makers, empowering them to improve the viability of their practices. In this session, Dan will share her insights and experience, making it a valuable opportunity for anyone looking to get the most out of taking part in selling events.
Whether you’re a newbie or been selling your work for a while, there will be plenty of useful tips to enhance your success.
All designer-makers, artists and local producers are welcome, but spaces are limited so priority will be given to those based in Enfield.
Made in Enfield
is a project being delivered by Enfield Council Cultural Services, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). It focuses on investment in the Made in Enfield Shop at Dugdale Arts Centre and in a Makers Development Programme providing opportunities to support, develop and showcase local makers at both DAC and Forty Hall.
Dan Maier
Dan lives and works in Palmers Green and Southgate and is a Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
Dan is also hosting an event at the Dugdale Arts Centre on 17th October about free opportunities to showcase and sell your products.
She will be giving a talk about her remarkable career at an open meeting of Southgate District Civic Trust on Saturday 26th October.
