Steve Taylor leads the band with his unmistakably vibrant drumming together with the luscious vocals of co-curator/writing partner Josie Frater. The band features 16 of the hottest horn charged crew around including Sax maestro, Vasilis Xenopoulos, Josie Frater vocals and Rosie Frater-Taylor guitar/vocals. Steve Taylor Big Band eXpLoSiOn are acknowledged by fans and critics alike as one of the most exciting British jazz groups on the music scene; wowing audiences at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, London Jazz Festival and Ziggy’s World Jazz Club to name a few.
Taylor has performed with Ian Shaw, Claire Martin obe, Omar, Nitin Sawhney. Appeared as featured guest on BBC Radio 2 Clare Teal show and shared the stage with the likes of Mica Paris.
