St Harmonica's Blues Club
Friday 25 October 8.30pm
The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)
This Friday the Jamie Williams Roots Collective make their St Harmonica’s debut and come very highly recommended.
Settled into the current super-tight line-up after over 500 shows the band is on fire, playing their own style of Roots/Rock at festivals & venues across the country. The band’s ethos is always to have fun and make sure the crowd does too. This is not a band that stands onstage staring at their (red) shoes. Their new album ‘Stay True’ (their 10th) released in May has received great reviews & is gaining airplay around the world. They are like the classic touring bands of the 70s: almost a travelling circus; a dysfunctional family of a band. They're tight without being boringly slick; leaving just enough rough edges to become one of the most exciting and fun 'originals' live bands on the circuit today.
Support is from Phil Davison accompanied by the excellent harmonica playing of Trevor Cooper.
Support act plays at 8.30pm followed by two sets from the main act starting soon after 9.00pm.
You’ll need your red 2024 membership card for admission on the night. If you haven’t yet become a member we can sell you this at the door for just £10 and, as there are only a few weeks of the year to go we will include your 2025 membership card too; deal of the year!
The hat goes around for donations towards musicians’ costs.
See you soon,
Dave, Simon, & John
