Restore the People's NHS: London Conference

Saturday 22 June 10.00am - 5.00pm

London Irish Centre, 50-52 Camden Square London NW1 9XB

202406 restore the peoples nhs conference

The Restore the People's NHS London conference will be a vital opportunity for experienced NHS activists, newcomers and all those passionate about ending the NHS crisis and saving it for future generations.

As a general election looms the state of the NHS, and the best way to reform it, will become hotly debated. This means we must prepare ourselves with the arguments, facts and campaigning skills to win back our NHS.

At the conference we'll be hearing from NHS activists, health workers, and respected experts about how and why we should be fighting for a full restoration of the founding principles of the NHS.

We'll also be holding workshops about a range of issues including influencing decision makers, building alliances, working with the press, and campaigning on the streets to win over the public.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Tony O'Sullivan (Keep Our NHS Public co-chair)
  • Claire Goodwin-Fee (Psychotherapist and founder and CEO of Frontline19)
  • Mark Thomas (Founder of the 99% Organisation and The Rational Policy-Maker’s Guide to the NHS)
  • Tom Thayer (Consultant Oral Surgery and creator of HUGE Save NHS Dentistry petition)
  • Samantha Wathen (Keep Our NHS Public press officer)
  • Dr Andrew Meyerson (A&E Doctor and SOS NHS)
  • Dr John Puntis (Keep Our NHS Public co-chair)
  • Gillian Lewis (London NHS Activist)
  • Johnbosco Nwogbo (We Own It)
  • Dr Pallavi Devulapalli (Green Party Health, Social Care and Public Health spokesperson)
  • Gill George on 'The crisis in Maternity services' (Convenor of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Defend Our NHS. Campaigned in support of families involved in the Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust maternity scandal that led to the Ockenden report in 2022).
