Broomfield Conservatory re-opened to the public on Sunday 26th May after being closed for several months for repair and redecoration. The volunteers will be gradually restoring the planting, much of which has not survived the lack of light during repair work.
Broomfield Conservatory was built in 1934, but looks older. It has been planted with a variety of exotics and is maintained by a team of volunteers from the Friends of Broomfield Park, who open it to the public on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons.
The Conservatory is open on Sunday and Wednesdays between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
